Survey Head

This is one of the better paid survey programs available right now. It is absolutely free to join and available in a lot of countries including Singapore and is a legit system.

Advantages of Surveyhead

  • They pay with Paypal. This is very convenient for me as I got a Paypal account. (free to signup but the registration is a bit of a hassle as verification is needed) I don't really like checks because they take way too long and might get lost somewhere.

  • The currency is in USD. That's a good thing because it means we earn more during the conversion. They have a really neat section that shows the currency earned in both USD and SGD. Sweet.

  • You get a USD$5 credited in your account once you sign up and verify your account. Awesome.
Disadvantages

  • The frequency of the surveys is very low. Like once every 2 weeks or so.

However, each survey pays really well averaging around (USD$2) that can be completed in around 10-15mins if you're fast.

  • The layout of the website isn't really very cool. They should seriously consider a website revamp.
I shall update my earnings when I receive them. :)

ChurpChurp

Have you guys head of ChurpChurp?  Available in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Australia. I think attractive about social media is they come up with the cutest name and logo.

Churp Churp in a nutshell

Basically, I think it is the same as Gushcloud but different. For those who haven't seen my post on Gushcloud, you can see it here. Basically you advertise for the companies through your tweets and facebook posts and earn money out of it.

What makes it different from Gushcloud?

  •  You are paid according to the number of unique clicks on your link. For example, you see something like " SGD 0.20 per unique click SGD 250.00 left to be rewarded" beside the advertisement, they means you get $0.20 when each different ip address clicks on the link you posted. $250 left to be rewarded is pretty obvious they pay another $250 before the deal is off.
For Churpchurp, you are paid according to the number of audience you can reached out to. In a way it is fairier if you are able to reach out to a larger audience, you get a bigger slice of the cake. This method of reward is more specific as it may appeal to a specific group of people. (such as cosmetics for ladies only)

For Gushcloud, such payment is actually measured by Gush score which we don't really need to worry about people clicking it. Once you post it, you're done.

So it really depends on what you prefer. You can have both anyway.

Advantages of ChurpChurp

  • They have this special feature called Auto sharing for both facebook and twitter. Basically you have several options like "share once a day, 2-3days, a week" so you click it and it does the work for you so you don't have to check back so often.
Disadvantages
The cashout is a super high $100. This program is definitely legit but unless you have a good strategy to spread the word or you have like a lot of facebook friends and followers, the payout threshold takes a while to hit.

Yup that's it on Churpchurp. If any of you guys actually managed to get a redemption, do leave a comment. Okay bye.

GlobalTestMarket

Hi. I'd been away for 5 weeks! School is really bus. Haven't been looking after this spot. I'd been trying out GlobalTestMarket for near to 3months now. Yes, it is yet another free survey program to earn cash. This one is opened up to people in countries worldwide (including Singapore)

Advantages of GTM
  • They send you emails to notify you of surveys available usually 5-100 points. Email frequency is around once a week though, which is good for people who don't like a flooded inbox. I prefer more surveys though like 2-3. Actually they started off with sending like 2-3 surveys per week but the numbers dropped over time to 1 for my case.
  • They allow response not only restricted to the one that signup but opens it up to other family members. For example they need a person who drives a car for the survey but you don't, you can ask someone else in your hosehold to do it for you. Kinda flexible.
  • If you screen out of the survey, you get 5 points anyway.
  •  You can cash out USD$50 once you hit 1000points. I do prefer redeeming cash at a lower threshold but this isn't much of a issue to me as I don't really mind collecting a larger sum of money. The important thing is that I get the money.
 Disadvantages of GTM

The redeemed $50 comes in the form of check. If you're living in US, it takes around 4-6 weeks and outside US 6-8 weeks. This is a pretty long process but consideing the size of the company and participants, we just have to wait.

I don't know why I got screened out a couple of surveys (Like 5) but luckily I got screened out quite early part of the survey (after I answer like 4 questions) so I still get 5 points for that.

So far for near 3 months I got 400points. My calculation: I need other 4 and a 1/2 months to get 600points. That means I have to wait 7 and a 1/2 months to get my USD$50. OMG. That seems like forever.

My thoughts

One of the legit system to earn a bit of cash. I'll update you all when I get my check months later.

I think the thing about the survey and like any other jobs, we're trading time for money. According to Robert Kiyosaki (author of rich dad poor dad) this is really not advisable. We should make money work for us not we work for money. Imagine how many of us are trapped in this continuous work cycle. However, not everyone wants to be filthy rich, some of us wants to pursue our passion (like me). However, I must say being able to not worry about money in life (financial freedom) is a good feeling. I recommend you read Kiyosaki's books. Really awesome stuff he got there.

I hope we all do awesome stuff! :)

Things box

Hey guys it's friday 13. Haha. Here's a good thing today. - Things box! From Singpost.

1)Basically, advertisers contact Singpost to give out free samples or discount to people as part of an advertising bait.

2)Any one can subscribe to the Singpost Things box and choose what kinda of samples they prefer to receive.

3) Through the preferences,  the items are mailed to the people under the different preference categories.

I find this pretty smart an advertising campaign as it is a win win situation for both advertisers and customers. Advertisers raise awareness to their brand names to interested customers and we in turn  get free stuff.

Previous boxes include: Beyond Beaty, Mmmm!, ABSOLUT, Laurier, Carl's Jr, Sentosa 4D Magix and Asience.

Give it a try by subscribing to things in a box.

My mail moment

Hi guys. Here's another trustworthy survey site. Sorry I kept updating on surveys but I will source for other programs. I'm pretty comfortable with doing surveys to make money though.

I'm sure alot of people have heard of Singpost which is the only local postal service Singapore has. Sounds kinda of sad. Anyways:

Basically, it's a free Singapore survey site. You do surveys and get vouchers, free lucky draws and stuff. They mail the vouchers to your residential address for free. The downside is that it usually takes pretty long. (for me, it's around 1-2weeks) The quaterly draw is sort of attractive. You might win something.

So the point system works like this. The minimal redemption points of 250. Usually a survey ranges from 15points-30points. (which takes around 1-5mins.) They do have like 300 points survey once in a while. The thing is that you got like around 15 surveys once you register so I'm pretty sure you can redeem something the day you sign up. Referral points are available too.

They do have other vouchers like $5 popular vouchers (250points) and $5 NTUC vouhcers (250points) but it's rather on demand but not always available so do grab them when you see it. You might like to wait for another round of vouchers to be given out too.

Updated (January 8th 2012)

I'd just received my vouchers a few days ago.

If you like to try (it's free anyway):
